Our Embassy in Minsk

The British Embassy in Minsk is the official representation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.  Mrs Rosemary Thomas is the Ambassador.

 

The Embassy has the following sections:

 

The Political Section is responsible for studying, reporting and analysing political and economic developments in Belarus. It also oversees various project activities. Please see British Assistance to Belarus section of this site. Please also see the  FCO country profile on Belarus.

 

Commercial relations are overseen by UK Trade & Investment in London, the British Government organisation that supports both companies in the UK trading internationally and overseas enterprises seeking to invest or to source goods in the UK.

 

The Press and Public Affairs Section provides specific information about British Government policy and general information about the UK for official organisations, the media and members of the public.  It also oversees the Chevening Scholarship Scheme.

 

The Consular Section protects the interests of British nationals in Belarus and provides travel advice for those wishing to travel to Belarus.

 

The Visa Section gives practical assistance to those wishing to travel to the UK and processes applications for visas.
