Chevening alumni reunion in Minsk

Chevening alumni reunion in Minsk

Each year, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office offers future leaders, decision-makers and opinion formers opportunities for post-graduate study in the UK under the British Chevening scholarship scheme.

Successful candidates are graduates, with an already established career and with an outstanding record of achievement or proven leadership potential.  On completion of their studies, they will return to Belarus to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development through implementing new skills and the knowledge acquired in the United Kingdom.

The scholars will spend between 3 and 12 months studying at a British university.  Candidates come from a range of academic disciplines and professional backgrounds, in particular human rights, media, law, international relations and environment.  They are between 25 and 35 years of age.

In Belarus, the scheme is managed by the British Embassy in Minsk in co-operation with the British Council in Kiev.
